so, i've been making cuts in my book collection. lulu's library is out off the chain, guys.
last week, i donated the ones that i've already read and don't think are particularly special, and also the ones that i know i will never read cuz they're just not my style.
today, i went through all the books i have in pasadena, and if i can get them for free on kindle, they are out like trout.
classic books (for the most part) are free on amazon, so you can read them on a kindle, iphone, or a screen of whatever kind you prefer. this is pretty awesome, no? i try to read one at all times in addition to whatever else i'm reading. i've been working on the count of monte cristo for, um, two years and i'm 80% done. should i just like plow through that thing and get it over with? is that what happens when i try to do something challenging, just leave it unfinished and drag it out so that it's always hanging over my head and oh mah gawd liiifffeeeeeee how am i going to do it????
anyway! here's what i have.
The Three Musketeers
Dubliners by James Joyce
Anthem by Ayn Rand
Oscar Wilde's Complete Short Fiction
Last of the Mohicans
Heart of Darkness
Now Is the Time to Open Your Hearty by Alice Walker (not free online)
The Picture of Dorian Grey by Oscar Wilde
Sense and Sensibility
A Diamond as Big as the Ritz by F Scott Fitzgerald
If anyone wants any or all of them, they will be in the trunk of my car for the next week or so, then on to out of the closet.
