aaaaand we begin with this new phase of my life (not an unemployed phase (hopefully?), but a "not the property manager" phase).
it started as most days do, with waking up (duh!). i felt like it was a sunday because there wasn't anything immediate i needed to do, then when i realized it was a work day for everyone but me, i finally felt that "weight lifted off" that everyone kept saying would kick in soon.
i ate some oatmeal. it was an instant flax mix cooked in the microwave, then i added some honey and coconut peanut butter (yeah, that exists! but i wouldnt recommend combo-ing it with oatmeal. whatever, you have to try new things sometimes). i threw in some laundry (i don't mean to always talk about laundry (or use so many parentheticals)), tidied up, and went to yoga. after that i had a failed attempt with katie to do some reading at a coffee shop, and we ended up at her apartment to read some stuff about creating a business website. while at her house, i made a list of things to do for the next week or so. then i went to jan's and we tried to watch the tudors but took a huge nap instead. i went home around 4pm, took a shower, finished the laundry. boyfriend came home and we made dinner. i chopped up an eggplant and some asparagus, threw it in a pot with minced garlic and olive oil, and cooked it covered on medium low for 20 minutes. it came out looking disgustingly unappetizing but wasn't bad to eat.
i did not spend any money, yay!
i did not make any money, boo!
my boyfriend is running a bath for himself and i am going to read him the LA Times. add to my many talents upon which i need to capitalize - I am good at reading aloud.
Dang! I missed so many posts! This was the best Tuesday AM reading catch up sesh ever.
ReplyDeleteI have heard that it's best to get up early and do all the things you should/need to do when not working, so the rest of the day is earned and you feel good about it. Maybe that's true?
